Warranty Terms – Water Fixers of DFW

Effective July 1, 2025

At Water Fixers of DFW, our goal is for every customer to feel confident in their investment and fully understand the protection that comes with it. Our warranty is clear, straightforward, and created to safeguard your purchase and never to mislead or confuse.

In our industry, “lifetime” warranties are often used as a sales hook, but they can be disingenuous. Many come with fine print, strict exclusions, or component quality that doesn’t match the promise. We don’t take that approach. Instead, we install proven, really high quality equipment and back it with terms that are transparent, realistic, and honored in full — so you know exactly what to expect for years to come.

1. Standard Coverage

Unless otherwise specified in writing on your invoice, our standard warranty coverage is:

  • Equipment (control valves, electronics, internal components): 5 years from the date of installation.

  • Tanks (structural integrity): 10 years from the date of installation.

  • Labor (our installation workmanship): 1 year from the date of installation.

2. Labor Charges After Year One

After the first year, labor charges apply for:

  • Manufacturer warranty replacements.

  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting.

  • Removal and reinstallation of covered parts.

  • System testing after component replacement.

Labor rates will be quoted prior to service and must be approved before work begins.

3. Coverage Scope

This warranty covers:

  • Defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use.

  • Replacement or repair of defective components with equivalent new or refurbished parts.

  • Labor for covered repairs during the first year only (see Section 2).

4. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, fire, flood, freezing, lightning, or other acts of nature.

  • Damage from water conditions outside system specifications (for example, extreme iron, hydrogen sulfide, or sediment levels without required pretreatment).

  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs.

  • Consumable items such as filter cartridges, membranes, UV lamps, resin media, or batteries.

  • Labor for repairs or replacements after the first year (see Section 2).

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect function.

5. Maintenance Requirements

To keep your warranty valid:

  • Follow the maintenance schedule provided at installation (filter changes, resin cleaning, UV lamp replacement, etc.).

  • Use only compatible replacement parts and consumables.

  • Have repairs or adjustments performed by Water Fixers of DFW or an authorized service provider.

  • Provide access for inspection or service when requested.

Failure to follow recommended maintenance or use incompatible components may void your warranty.

6. Warranty Claim Process

  • Contact us at (469) 689-4615 or via our contact form to start a warranty claim.

  • We may request photos, test results, or inspection to verify eligibility.

  • If the issue is covered, we will schedule repair or replacement.

  • If the issue is not covered, we will provide a written estimate for repair.

7. Relationship to Other Agreements

Full warranty terms provided on your invoice override any other descriptions or representations, whether written, spoken, or implied.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Water Fixers of DFW’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of covered components. We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including water damage, loss of use, or increased utility costs.

9. Our Commitment

We built this warranty to be as clear and fair as possible because our goal is for every customer to be happy with their system for years to come. We refuse to hide behind vague “lifetime” promises or cut corners with subpar components. When we say we stand behind our work, we mean it — with equipment built to last, installed by licensed professionals who care, and backed by terms you can actually understand.
